WW: Health Effects of Exposure to Radiation

Many countries have banned while others conduct thorough testing of imports from Japan after radioactive substances were detected in its food and water after a nuclear power plant blast.

In the Philippines, the Philippine Nuclear Research Institute (PNRI) already started scanning container cargoes from Japan because of possible radiation. They also claimed that there is little chance that the radioactivity from ocean near the Yukishima power plant facility will reach Philippine waters.
